My Favorite Blogging Tools

I don't talk much about blogging, cause frankly, that's not what this blog is about. Everything here is all about homesteading.

However if you are thinking about starting a blog, I'd like to share with you a few of my favorite tools and programs that I use a lot. 

Web Hosting 

I really love Solo Build It. My mom talked me into going with them over some of the cheaper options, and I'm really glad I did. They have a complete web hosting service, and they have a less expensive option for wordpress users. Just check it out by following the links above.

Shopify

I have really loved using and working with Shopify. They are super easy to use and the website you get looks beautiful. Check them out with my affiliate link here. 

Email Service

I switched over the a new email provider called Flodesk. Check them out here. I love them! They have a flat rate fee that doesn't change on the number of subscribers you have, which is a big deal. 

If you are just starting out (and can't afford to pay for an email provider just yet) I started with Mailer Lite and recommend their free version to you if you aren't ready to pay for email services yet. It's free, with limited features, up to 1,000 subscribers.  

(But you will want to switch to Flodesk if you get over 1,000 subscribers...if you think that may happen fast, it may be worth it to just pay for flodesk right now.) 

Email Design

Btw I loveeeeeeeee this pretty email kit from Michelle and María! You can customize everything in the free version of Canva and it's really helped me take my email design to the next level. (link coming soon) 

I changed all the colors to go with my brand, and also swapped out some of the graphics. Seriously a great starting place for email design! 

Adds

I've chosen not to have the major add companies on my website. I have found Amazon's affiliate program allows you to create custom adds where I can choose which products I show/promote and I like using Amazon's affiliate program for that reason.
